Boat Insurance: What is Personal Accident cover?

This boat insurance option can provide a payment if you, or anyone on board your boat with your permission, have an accident onboard which results in you or they suffering a serious injury (e.g. loss of a limb) or even death.

You select what cover limit you require up to £50,000 per person or £200,000 in total, and you also select how many people you want cover for. There is no excess for you to pay in respect of a claim under this cover.

There are various exclusions which apply to this option, such as if the person is injured while undertaking a hazardous activity (e.g. diving, water skiing etc), or if they are under the influence of drink or drugs.
