| Covers the cost, up to the cover limit selected, for repair or replacement arising from physical loss or damage to your boat, subject to certain specific exclusions and the excess you have chosen. * |
| Marina Benefits | |
| Protects your no claims discount entitlement, and avoids you having to pay an excess, if you make a claim for loss or damage to your boat sustained while it is moored / stored in a specified marina. * |
| Mooring Fees | |
| Covers the cost, up to the cover limit selected, of mooring fees incurred while you are unable to use your boat as the result of either a serious accidental injury to yourself, or insured loss or damage to your boat, subject to certain specific exclusions. * |
| Emergency Accommodation | |
| Covers the cost, up to the cover limit selected, of emergency accommodation for you and your passengers if your boat is made uninhabitable as the result of loss or damage covered by this policy, subject to certain specific exclusions. * |
| Emergency Breakdown | |
| Covers call out, parts and labour costs, up to the cover limit selected, if your boat is no longer seaworthy as the result of a mechanical breakdown, subject to certain specific exclusions. * |
| Third Party Liability | |
| Covers sums, up to the cover limit selected, which you are legally liable to pay arising from ownership of the vessel for death or injury to a third party, or damage to their property, subject to certain specific exclusions. * |
| War and Related Risks | |
| Extends the protection provided by the policy to cover War, Capture, Piracy or Terrorism, subject to certain specific exclusions. * |
| Search, Rescue and Evacuation | |
| Covers costs, up to the cover limit selected, for search, rescue, and evacuation operations in relation to any person on board the boat with your permission. * |
| Medical Expenses | |
| Covers costs, up to the cover limit selected, arising from the attendance of a qualified Medical Practitioner as a direct result of an accidental injury sustained on the boat, subject to certain specific exclusions and the excess you have chosen. * |
| Marine Legal Protection | |
| Covers legal advisers’ costs up to a set value to help you pursue or defend a claim relating to the vessel for uninsured loss recovery, personal injury pursuit, contract disputes or prosecution defence arising from your ownership or use of the boat. Subject to certain specific exclusions. * |
| Machinery Extension | |
| This option extends the Vessel loss and damage cover to include repair or replacement to the boat’s machinery following damage caused by latent defects or breakage of shafts, subject to certain specific exclusions and the excess you have chosen. * |
| Replacement Locks and Keys | |
| Covers the cost, up to the cover limit selected, of replacing locks and keys following the theft or loss of keys to the boat’s external doors, subject to certain specific exclusions. * |
| Courtesy Vessel | |
| Covers the cost, up to the cover limit selected, of hiring a replacement vessel if your boat is made unseaworthy as the result of loss or damage covered by this policy, subject to certain specific exclusions. * |
| Emergency Travel | |
| Covers the cost, up to the cover limit selected, of getting you and your passengers home if your boat is no longer seaworthy due to loss or damage covered by this policy, or serious injury to a key crew member, subject to certain specific exclusions. * |
| Trailers and Trolleys | |
| Covers costs, up to the cover limit selected, for repair or replacement to your boat trailer or trolley for loss or damage arising from fire, theft, collision, or accident in use, subject to certain specific exclusions and the excess you have chosen. * |
| NCD Protection | |
| Protects your no claims discount entitlement in the event that you make no more than one claim under the policy in a year. * |
| Personal Belongings | |
| Covers costs, up to the cover limit selected, for repair or replacement to your or your immediate family’s personal belongings which are lost or damaged on the boat, or in transit to and from the boat, subject to certain specific exclusions and the excess you have chosen. * |
| Personal Accident | |
| Pays a selected financial benefit to any person who dies, disappears or sustains a serious injury while they are embarking, on board or disembarking the boat with your permission, subject to certain specific exclusions and a maximum number of persons which you select. * |
| Houseboat Contents and Related Options | |
| Offers a range of options for narrowboat / motor barge owners where the boat is their primary residence, such as cover for household contents, cover for possessions taken away from the boat or kept in student accommodation, alternative accommodation costs and public liability. Subject to certain specific exclusions and the excess you have chosen. * |
| Race Fee Cover | |
| Covers the cost, up to the cover limit selected, for lost entry fees for any races you have booked but are unable to participate in due to insured loss or damage to the boat. * |

| Pay your full premium when you arrange cover or pay a 30% deposit and spread the balance of your premium over 8 monthly instalments at no additional charge (0% Apr). Note, if you are paying by instalments and have a claim, the balance of the years premium becomes payable immediately. |

Unfortunately, we cannot cater for some vessels, such as those used for commercial purposes other than charter (e.g. commercial trawlers, commercial ferries etc) or for boats valued in excess of £1 million. In addition, the service is currently only available to UK residents.
